HIGH places
August 29, 2008 at 11:51 am | In Musings, Running | Leave a CommentThere are a lot of high places
Recently I’ve run Mt. Tamalpais and Mt. Humbug… They were hard to reach high places.
I’ve driven to Paradise. It was easy to reach, but I felt high. I stood and was loopy. I breathed hard walking around… I could feel my heart beating as it tried to figure out what to do with the altitude. The flight of birds was different… like they couldn’t catch air….
In a plane they fake you out. You’re high – but they don’t let you really feel the affects.
Then there’s a beer high, a scotch high and some other highs that I’ve not experienced, but understand a bit…
Runners HIGH – I’ve had. Apparently I get HIGH on HO HOs….
And there’s the lovin’ high…
And the high of climbing a tree and looking down through the branches… sky lifts, stair cases, glass elevators, roller coasters and bungies…
Whipped cream gets high on it’s own.
and sometimes I can just convince myself I’m high.
