Spitfire, burns of teardrops
Senses of general unease
The smell is not right
The shading is off
The touch is rough and bitter to taste
Senses, they are not overloaded
They are deceived.
Until even your balance is thrown
And you don’t know…
… am I standing on the wall
the ceiling?
In doubt. Sun shines, but the breeze is cold.
And you flee… hoping to find somewhere secure.
Even if it is only in memory
A familiar place you know to go.
Hide.
There are only walls
And in those walls see only yourself
Your footprints
And how you got where you are.

Call it Liberal. Call it Conservative. Headlines… is it all headlines? Well, maybe it was for a year or so… maybe it’s shock now. Then there are individual pieces that are thought provoking, that bring the intelligent human back. I like those. Makes me think I’m intelligent.
What is it really? Well, marketing mostly. The news is in business. Everyday there is something exciting going on in this world, dammit. There’s got to be or why should we watch the evening news with that big lipped, perky booped woman. The one you can’t tell what her ethnicity is. Yeah, as much as they might have a political stint, they’re really just out to make money so they can keep telling the news. And everyday they have to. So they rehash the big story until another big story comes along. They have filler stories that are a waste of time because they have time to fill. They either lean one way based on their audience or their audience leans one way because of their broadcast. Either way, if no one watches they are out of business. The news? Just a reflection.
